Removal and reconstruction of asphalt pavement involves the milling and removal of all paving materials and base for complete reconstruction of a street, parking lot or roadway. Removal and reconstruction facilitates improved cross sections, new grades, different alignments and the correction of problem materials. This method is also useful in slotting or removal of small sections
of street - preserving that portion of the roadway surfacing that is sound and requires no work.
